Sunrise on a clear day in Redmond.
The Cascades stand out in purple-blue
against the rose sky ahead of the sun.
The top of Education Hill is lightening
and the preview is highlighting a few wisps of clouds.
I am turning towards the Sun.
I retire today.
The quiet spaces are opening.
I can sit and simply feel.
My soul is peeking out like the sun
about to appear above the pines.
Action requires heart. Action involves choice.
I have worked as I have prayed, with love.
Now is the time to listen,
Dig through the decades,
Discover what to keep.
